CPD SWIM CLUB BOOSTERS UPDATES
TEAM UNIFY: The Boosters Club purchased Team Unify for the use of the CPD Swim Club. This new website http://www.cpdswimclub.com will make it easier for our families to sign up and pay for swim meets. The coaches will also be able to use Team Unify, rather than gmail, to communicate with families. Families will also be able to pay meet fees online, and all transactions fees will be covered by the CPD Swim Club Boosters. Team Unify gives our coaches more time to do what they do best, coach. Please reach out to the Swim Club Boosters’ officers if you have questions about how to sign up or register with Team Unify. We are here to support you through this transition.
PARENT MEETINGS: As you know the CPD Swim Club Boosters were busy this summer establishing a 501c3 (non-profit) corporation. As a result of becoming a 501c3 we were able to receive a generous donation from Alderman Maldonado to the CPD Swim Club Boosters. Again, a special thank you to Cesar Cruz for making this donation to the CPD Swim Club Boosters a reality. These funds have been used to purchase Team Unify for the CPD Swim Club, pay the filing fees for the CPD Boosters non-profit status, and pay for the team party which was organized and sponsored by the Boosters. Thanks to our fundraising, the Boosters provided awards to the swimmers and gifts to our coaches at the party. We now have a bank account with a nice sum of money in it, and we need your ideas and input for the best way to use our funds to support the swimmers of the CPD Swim Club. Please come hear our ideas and share yours. The Boosters Club will hold meetings at Stanton on Wednesday, September 24 at 7 pm and at Solorio on Thursday September 25 at 7:30 pm. We hope to see you then.
As this is the last post from this website, the Boosters would like to give one last thank you to Patty Hirt for creating this website.

Tomorrow is the CPD Swim Club Awards Banquet/Potluck to celebrate the SCY 2013-2014 season and LCM 2014 season. The party is from 5-8 p.m. at Ping Tom. Pool time from 5-6:15; Team Picture 6:15; Potluck and Awards 6:30-7:30.
The original personalized swim caps that were ordered have been replaced by the manufacturer because the dark green was fading too quickly. In order to receive your replacement swim caps you need to turn in the original caps you received (the manufacturer would like the caps returned so they can figure out what went wrong). Below is a picture of the replacement caps. You can switch them Thursday (today) before practice or at the team party on Monday. For those who would like to place an order for personalized caps, we will begin taking new orders next week. The next order will be for silicon caps and the price will be $25.00 for 2 caps.
Also, the LCM Championship Team T-Shirts have arrived and can be picked up today at practice or at the team party.
Finally, don’t forget to sign up for the team party. The sign up sheet is posted at practice or you can reply to this post. Hope to see everyone on Monday at the party!
